About

Jan creating digital paintings and sketches of all kinds of things!

My name is Jan. I am from the Western Cape, South Africa. I am an ex-architect and I also do 3D visualizations of buildings, interiors, etc. on computer.
For a long time I searched and experimented doing paintings and digital sketches. I photograph people, places and other stuff and then create or paint or sketch from the photographs with a G-pen on a Genius tablet. And I make use of all kinds of software, plugins, processes, etc.
God loved me first and I love Him and I love Jesus!

  1. Dear Jan,

I love this page. But you say so little on the About page – is this ridiculous female modesty? I’d love to know more about who and where you are, what your artistic history is, and, most particularly, how the sketching process works: do you transfer the images – or create them on a computer?

    • Hi Kate,

Thank you for looking at my stuff!
Other people also complained about my About page and you got me to do something! Now have a look. They are digital sketches created on a computer.

      Have a great week,
      Jan

  2. Hi Jan,
I like your work as well! The feeling you’re able to get across not just with the photos themselves but the way you craft them is quite amazing.
I’m always looking for new links to put on my blog, do you mind if I put a link to your blog on mine?

  7. Hi Jan,
Fascinating, and wonderful expressions of beauty in a different way. It’s a God given-gift to be able to isolate the glimpse of beauty within a scene or a passing moment. Keep blessing us!
    Jerry.
P.S – the story you commented on took place at Marina Beach on theSouth Coast.

Thank you Jan for visiting my site. I am happy to see your love for God in Jesus Christ is also evident in your caring for the marginalized. May you continue to take His Gospel to them that they may have life and have it abundantly. God be with you always.
